What is Preprinted Freezer Paper |
For years quilters have used freezer paper for applique. A quilter would go to the store and buy a roll of freezer paper. They would bring the paper home and trace their pattern on it. While cutting out the pieces, they would guess what seam allowance to add. |
With CD Designs preprinted freezer paper patterns this time consuming task is no longer needed. The patterns are already printed on the freezer paper with added seam allowances to use the pattern as a cutting template. The patterns are also very versatile in that they can be used for needle turn and fusible applique as well. |

Shown is a sample of a preprinted freezer paper heart pattern. The solid line is the true size and shape of the finished appliqued piece. This is the line you cut to prepare your pattern for freezer paper basting. This line can also be used as a cutting template for raw edge applique, as with the blanket stitch. A Third use of the solid line is a cutting template for fusible applique. Freezer paper will stick to the paper backing of heat fusible fabric adhesives, like HeatnBond. |
The first dashed line is a 1/8" seam allowance. This allows the pattern to be used as a cutting template for needle turn applique. |
The second dashed line is a 3/16" seam allowance. This allows the pattern to be used as a cutting template for freezer paper applique. |
How about checking my patterns already printed on freezer paper. I also have some great class patterns. |
